January 29, 2024. Red Crescent volunteers in the West Bank receive an emergency call. A 6-year old girl is trapped in a car under fire in Gaza, pleading for rescue. While trying to keep her on the line, they do everything they can to get an ambulance to her. Her name was Hind Rajab.

Hind’s tragic story inspired outcry across the globe, famously providing the namesake for “Hind’s Hall,” the student occupation at Columbia University in the Spring of 2024. This dramatization draws on the actual recording of her phone call to the Red Crescent volunteers, highlighting the anguish of Palestinians in the West Bank struggling to provide aid to their compatriots in Gaza amidst the genocide.

Premiering in competition at the Venice Film Festival 2025, Kaouther Ben Hania's film received a 23-minute standing ovation, and was awarded the Silver Lion.
